The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an English ECT to join a high-achieving and well-supported English department. The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with access to excellent schemes of work, interactive resources, and subject-specific CPD. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire pupils to achieve and exceed expectations, while using data to inform teaching and monitor progress. You’ll also contribute to the wider school community through enrichment or intervention programmes.
The Candidate
The school is seeking a dedicated and driven English ECT with excellent subject knowledge and a strong classroom presence. You must be on track to achieve QTS by July 2025 and be committed to continuous professional development. You should demonstrate high expectations of pupils, excellent communication skills, and a reflective approach to your teaching practice.
