The Role
You will teach English across KS3 and KS4, taking full responsibility for planning, delivery and assessment. Lessons follow a well sequenced curriculum with shared booklets, model texts and retrieval routines. You will mark to department policy, provide timely feedback and use assessment information to close gaps. You will run short interventions for priority learners, build vocabulary explicitly and develop secure exam technique throughout the year. You will contribute to co planning and moderation, set purposeful homework and maintain calm routines using the school behaviour system. Accurate record keeping and strong safeguarding practice are essential.
